Ever wondered what this symbol means? Army regulation AR-850-5 issued August 1942 ordered a plain white five pointed star, as the national symbol, it was seen in all theatres from 1943 and by 1944 was the most common national identification sign. In armored units, the white star was often painted out, or a circle around the star was added to avoid looking like a German cross at distance. Additionally, the circle was to distinguish between vehicles that had been sent oversees as part of the Lend Lease Act and did not have the white circle, and which vehicles were being used by American troops.
The invasion star symbol has the circle interrupted by lines at the points of the star. This is because the painting of the circle would often be done with a stencil on the field. It was meant to be filled in to create a full circle, but these “lazy circles” were often left.

“Great t-shirt!”
“I saw the Invasion Star t- shirt on Fox News when the LOC owner was showing off the company’s wares. I really liked the theme and the visual effect of the shirt, so I decided to buy it! I came back later and ordered the sweatshirt! I’m very pleased with both purchases.”William Edens
Highest quality 50/50 American made tee. Guaranteed to Love it!
All Love of Garments are made exclusively in the USA. Although some fabrics are imported from select countries, we source as much American grown raw product as possible. The fabric used in making our garments moves through a long path. From the textile mills to the fabric processing garment factory where the fabric sheets are cut into many pieces as garment components. The process continues where fabrics are converted into wearable garments through the garment manufacturing process in the garment factory. Our wearable garments are then shipped to our main warehouse located in Long Island, NY.
We currently print all garments in Center Moriches NY using an old school screen printing technique similar to what you may have done in middle school art class (except we use modern day state-of-the-art equipment). We use custom blended inks to provide a soft touch to your garments image. All of our designs feature some distress, fading or a combination there of to provide a classic vintage Americana look. Don't be surprised if part of your design looks like the screen printer hit an area too lightly; he did! Although every garment looks the same, there will always be a unique subtle difference in the final art.
We take pride in our process and final product. We know once you experience the Love of Country lifestyle you'll become an LOC customer for life! We are so confident that we are prepared to do whatever it takes to ensure you are 100% in love with your Love of Country garments.
Please note, shipping times are based on business days (weekends not included).
